Who is Alan Seales?

Alan Seales is a technical leader: Co-Founder and CTO of Broadway Podcast Network, where he built the engineering organization and platform from zero to over 200 podcasts and tens of millions of downloads, and Founder and CEO of CalendarPA, a scheduling SaaS he built solo. Before that, Alan Seales spent eleven years at Google, where he drove the open-sourcing of Bazel and created the first Global Lead role for Talks at Google.

What has Alan Seales built?

Alan Seales has built and runs several production systems: the serverless platform behind Broadway Podcast Network; CalendarPA and AdaPA, its agentic AI scheduling assistant; LevelMyAudio, an audio-cleanup pipeline with a roughly tenfold workflow reduction; The Broadway Drop Shop, limited-edition drops behind a custom virtual queue; and automated profit and loss across over 200 podcasts.

What was Alan Seales’ role in open-sourcing Bazel?

Alan Seales drove the open-sourcing of Bazel, Google’s build system. As Technical Program Manager on Google’s Developer Infrastructure team, he led the tooling an estimated 50,000 internal Google engineers built on at the time, then took that build platform out into the world as Bazel, since adopted by hundreds of thousands of engineers worldwide.

CalendarPA is a scheduling SaaS that Alan Seales built solo and took from zero to a public beta in seven days and to paying users soon after. It syncs Google, Microsoft and Apple calendars, runs with zero downtime and zero double-bookings, and includes AdaPA, an agentic AI assistant that books meetings for real users.
